Date: Saturday, January 25

Chicago singer-songwriter Naomi Ashley‘s songs are intimate, plain-spoken and gorgeously sung. Lyrically layered and drawing from folk, blues and country traditions, they surge with the contradictory impulses of real, imperfect life. And are brought to life by her stellar band of Jon Williams on guitar, Josh Piet on upright bass and Jason Batchko on drums.

Together they released Naomi’s newest album, Love Bug, on Valentine’s Day, 2024. Supported by a grant from Chicago’s Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events (DCASE) and recorded at Chicago’s legendary Kingsize Sound Labs, Love Bug explores all the dimensions of relationships from: “flirtatious love, deep love, love gone wrong and obsessive love”. The production of Love Bug is lush, greedily grabbing from every corner of Americana while retaining the accessibility of a great band playing at a local tavern. Watch this live video of the title song, Love Bug, and then RSVP!
